Elise has a BFA in Advertising from the Savannah College of Art and Design and uses her design eye to make really cool stuff. This Baltimore native blames her parents for her insatiable devotion to live music and top notch art. Mountains, live music and passion brought the starry eyed artist to Denver. Elise can be found in her natural habitat in the front row of a Disco Biscuits show, with one hand in the air, covered in turquoise rings and the other clutching an ice cold brew. Live music makes this crazy girl smile because for a moment in time everyone has something in common; music. For Elise, this is too good to be true. Follow Elise on Twitter: @thesoundnerd

Signal Path-21

The Scene: Electronic enthusiasts of all ages came out, flat-bill clad, with open ears and hearts ready to bust a move. There was a wonderful merch table featuring lines of dry goods from MEANt and Grassroots California. So, if you're in the market for some new swaag, definitely check them out some time.

The crowd was relatively calm before show time and during set break, considering the excitement of a release party. However, as soon as California based duo, Love and Light took the stage, the house was booming. I'd have to say, it wasn't particularly clear which artist fans were most psyched for.

The Good: Love and Light, perpetuates enthusiasm with their high energy, quirky stage presence and constant smiles. These guys are super fun to watch and they have a wonderful sense of humor which is incorporated within their mixes.  I got a kick out of their track which featured quotes from Anchorman.

Signal Path seemed particularly excited to be in Colorado last night to debut their new material. As a result they performed extremely well. After a year of playing all original material, they decided to try their hand at mashing, bending and hacking some of their favorite artists tunes, to create something new and unlike any of their previous releases. They definitely are successful in their endeavor because the crowd was having a ball.

The Venue: The Bluebird is a really neat old theatre, possessing a great deal of charm ranging from the old frisco paintings, which remain intact, to the friendly staff. It's refreshing, no pun intended, to see a venue with reasonable beverage prices and a specials board too. You won't leave the Bluebird feeling as though your wallet has been violated.

I enjoy this venue because there is ample space, both upstairs and down, railings to set your bag or drink on, sufficient bathrooms and a user friendly wrap around bar.

FYI: This was Signal Path's album release party, presented by the Westword, Souls in Action, Grassroots California, Early Bird // Night Owl, and yours truly, Swaager! You can share and download the new album, MixtaEP at DOWNLOAD.

Watch Out For: Swaager worked on a live performance video based on this performance, so watch out for it in the coming weeks!
