Yonder Mountain String Band will be taking their act a little further than 40 Miles From Denver this fall as they host the third annual Harvest Festival, located on Mulberry Mountaintop in Ozark Arkansas. Bringing the creme de la creme of American bluegrass, country, and folk to the east coast, the men of Yonder have already secured 50+ top acts to play on four stages over the weekend of October 11.
Headliners include local favorites Yonder Mountain String Band, Leftover Salmon, and Mickey Heart Band, but the festival will also feature big names such as Dumpstaphunk, Cornmeal, Elephant Revival, and Giant Panda Guerilla Dub Squad, to name a few. The festival will pay homage to the Ozark region by showcasing a number of local Arkansas bands throughout the weekend as well.
Harvest Fest is unique in the sense that it will be a lot smaller than the mainstream summer festivals, capping off entry at around 7,500 atendees. This smaller number allows for an intimate musical experience as well as more room to romp around the mountain and enjoy all that the land has to offer. Aside from the obvious musical entertainment, the festival grounds will include a frisbee golf course, and opportunities for fishing, hiking, biking, and kayaking. There will also be an open mic stage and music workshops so festival goers can try their hand at performing just like the big dogs.
Bust out your dancing shoes and get ready to drink whiskey for breakfast because this event will be a dance party for the whole family to enjoy. Tickets are on sale for $115.00 and include camping, so you can't ask for a better deal than that!
