Noam Silkoff

Noam is your typical wandering Jew. Born in Israel, lived in Toronto, now residing in downtown Denver, and holds UK, Israeli and American citizenships. His family boasts many musical talents which he apparently missed out on. He is a fan of all different types of music ranging from reggae to hip-hop, classic rock, and of course, EDM. After capturing his wild adventures of going to shows with a shitty point and shoot camera, he decided to start a music website, which somehow led to Swaager. His drinks of choice include Jameson and PBR and if you see him out without a v-neck on, he must be having an off-night. He enjoys nothing more than being at a show - it includes anything and everything you could ever ask for: music, girls, and booze. Follow Noam on Twitter: @volecule

Axwell+Madeon-52

Who: Axwell

Where: Ogden Theater

Openers: Madeon and Ecotek

The Scene: Denver’s house music fans were torn between catching Arty at Beta Nightclub and Axwell and Madeon at Ogden Theater on Thursday night. The Ogden was filled to the brim with hipsters, fist pumping bros, candy ravers and live music fans who didn’t make the trek to Indio, CA for the second weekend of Coachella.

Favorite Moment: Axwell’s major drop in the middle of “Save the World” coincided with bursts of confetti alongside flashing strobes and smoke. The last time we saw that many smiles amid a confetti shower was when Girl Talk played the Ogden in March 2011.

We’re impressed: Though busy playing both weekends of Coachella with Swedish House Mafia, Axwell made a special stop in Denver to show our EDM community some love.

The Good: Props to AEG for moving Madeon from headlining Bluebird Theater to an opening slot at the Ogden. The combination was a match made in heaven and show-goers didn’t have to choose between two high-profile shows.

The Bad: Underage girls seem to throw up at every EDM show we attend.

Personal Bias: 17-year-old EDM prodigy, Madeon, may have replaced Justin Bieber for best hair swoop in the music industry.
